Subject: Urgent help required
Dear All,
A lady of about 45 yrs old(Mamtha) met with an accident last Wednesday(13th Jan,2010) where she fell off her bike. She suffered severe brain injuries and entered coma immediately. Since her condition was very critical and required a highly sophisticated
treatment she was not allowed admission in any of the hospitals (even NIMHANS said they would not be able to support this condition). Finally Apollo hospital at Bannerghatta Road(opp IIMB) in Bangalore agreed to admit her.
She has now undergone one of the two surgeries but still hasn’t crossed the critical stage. She is still in Coma, in an emergency ICU room on ventillator. The doctors are trying different ways to help her gain consciousness, but she hasn’t been responding much.
Since the treatment is highly expensive and a prolonged one(depending on her response and when she comes out of Coma which could take a month now), the family is not able to bear her medical expenses(she is not covered under any insurance). They have already spent 3 lakhs over her first surgery and might require another 2-3 lakhs to continue the treatment.
This is a case that I am personally aware of as met this family when I accompanied my mother-in-law to the hospital and I visit the hospital on alternate days.
It would be tough for their family to manage the situation financially, but I feel together we can make it happen and bring the joy back into the family.
I have given my bank details below for you to transfer the money.
Name of the account holder: Jayashree R
HDFC account number: 00771140035183

To keep track of the money that is being transferred to the hospital, I would appreciate if you sent a confirmation email to me at rtrackers@gmail.com and use the subject line 'For Mamtha's treatment' while transferring.
Due to the urgency of the issue, I am sending this email directly. Please let me know if there are better ways to reach out to more people
Looking forward to your kind support in helping this family.
Thank you in advance.
Warm Regards,
Jayashree
